Jeweled Vixen

My apartment complex is child-free. It's illegal to state to potential renters that the landlady isn't going to rent to anyone with children, so she doesn't. She just picks renters who don't have children. So, anyway, I could hear some children outside and wondered what was going on, since it's extremely rare to hear children around here. Then the doorbell rang.

I went out and answered. It was a group of carolers, kids and adults. They sang "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" for me. It was so cute and really made my day. One little boy came right up on the stoop to sing and he had a good voice, a nice tenor. He was also missing a couple of front teeth, so I guess he was about 8? Anyway, it was really nice. I've lived here for five years and never had carolers before.
