I saw my new Cardiologist at the beginning of the month. He ordered and EKG and an Echocardiogram. He also said he wanted me to come in again in 6 months. I had those tests done last week. This afternoon, I got a call from his office saying he wants to see me in the next two weeks about the EKG. If the doctor wants to see you about your EKG, it usually means you've had a heart attack. But that also shows up on the Echocardiogram. So, I don't know what to think. I have an appointment to see him on the 31st. I'm a little nervous about this. :/

Rather than being nervous, I would take the attitude that it's good he's on top of things. Sounds like he's really paying attention to your situation, which is good. The time to be nervous is when you feel crappy and they tell you it's nothing to worry about and brush you off. Can't tell you how many times THAT'S happened to people I know...

LOL Funny story about that icon - I took this picture! I was in London, England doing the tourist thing, and I saw this guy just standing on the corner holding up that sign. It was too good to pass up taking a photo!

It could just be they saw afib or arterial flutter or something. If it were super serious they'd have told you to come to the hospital asap.

My mom's had afib pretty much her whole life ... it can usually be pretty well controlled. At least in her case.

She did go to the er a few years back and they did some tests, admitted her and wouldn't tell her anything until the dr could see her. Long story short she got a pacemaker and has been good ever since ... but in that advent it was an admit to hospital asap.

In your case ... if they're waiting a few weeks, it can't be super serious.

Sounds like you're in very good hands. But I'll still be giving out good thoughts and prayers.

That would freak me out a little too, but everyone is right if it were serious they would have had you in the er or in the office the day they found out. Prayers and good thoughts your way!
