It has been raining ever since I got up, but now, about 5:00, things are beginning. The lights have blinked twice and the wind is starting to blow quite hard. I've got my flashlights and candle at the ready, just in case. I have my cell phone right here if I need to make an emergency call if the power goes out. I'm as ready as I can be.

Do you have a land line, sweetie! Cell towers usually don't work in a power outage. :/

Yeah, I have a land line, but the phone is electric, since it's a cordless phone. But during power outages in the past, I've used my cell phone to call the electric company. I have their number programed into my cell so I call them without having to look up their number in the dark.

Thanks. I will. Right now, it seems to have stopped raining, but the wind is still gusty. But the power is still on. It blinked once and the T.V. went off, but nothing else. So far, so good.

I'm more worried about Rae since she's going to get hit harder than I am. I'm glad she made it home all right.

I understand that completely. Since you're safe, it's now time to worry about Rae and Liz... I think they're getting it worse than you did. Very glad you're okay.

Yes, they are both getting hit harder than I did. This is a such strange storm. I live between them and it's weird to think they are both getting hit harder than I did. I hope they are both all right.
