Summer is Over

Today I heard geese honking. That is a bad sign. It means that they are starting to fly south for the winter. That means cold weather is coming, and snow. I'm not happy about this.

I agree!

I love fall - the cooler temps and the beautiful colors, but I know that the cold stuff is just around the corner.

I hate to be cold, and while I love to watch the snow from the warmth of my house, it mostly ends up being a commuting nightmare, so I can do without it.

Yes, snow can be so pretty, but I hate having to clean off my car and then drive on the bad roads.

We still have a few weeks of golf season left, and I plan to make the most of them. Happily, it's warm enough here that the geese never leave. When I lived in Ottawa (much further north), hearing the geese honking as they flew south in perfect formation used to be the saddest thing about fall for me, even worse than the leaves dropping.
