(That's a quote from the movie Fern Gully)
I saw my eye doctor last month and she gave me a prescription for new glasses. My eyes had been bothering me for quite a while, so I kinda figured I might need new ones. They are bifocals. I also have middle-distance glasses, but I broke the right bow off on them several months ago and have been using my bifocals and looking through the reading part at the bottom, but I think that was part of the reason my eyes were bothering me so much.
So, anyhoo, I took the prescription to the eye glass place in WalMart on Monday and had them fix the bow on the one pair and gave them the prescription for the other and picked out new frames. Total of $210. I brought the fixed pair home that day and have been so happy. But today, I picked up the new pair of bifocals and now I'm in heaven! I can see!
To add icing on the cake, a few weeks ago, my television suddenly went snowy while I was trying to mute the sound. It stayed that way, so I finally called Time Warner on Wed. and the guy came out yesterday morning to fix it. Seems that while I was trying to mute the t.v., I accidentally hit the 8 button on the t.v. remote. It needed to be on 3. He also fixed me up with a HD box, so NOW I have clear, HD t.v. AND new glasses to see it with! I'm in 7th heaven!
