I had to go to Wally World today to get a prescription filled and get the cats more food. On my way to Walmart, I pass the "mall" (it's one floor and has maybe 25 stores in it). On my way back past the mall, I noticed a guy out front twirling a sign. Traffic was slow, so I got a good look at him and the sign. The sign was about the size of a piece of poster board and it said "Liberty Tax" on it. It had a short stick stuck to the back so he could twirl it. The guy was dressed like the Statue of Liberty, same color and everything. I guess they have a new store, at least for tax season. I nearly peed myself laughing. You couldn't pay me enough to stand out there in that outfit for hours in 20 degree weather.

It always kind of boggles my mind that people think that sort of stunt will bring in customers. If I were looking for a tax preparer, I wouldn't be basing my choice on who had the best gimmicky promoter standing by the side of the road distracting motorists and potentially causing traffic accidents...just sayin'.

And I agree, I wouldn't do it for any amount of money. And I doubt they pay much, anayway. Those types of job are for the uber-desperate. I feel sorry for the guy.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I'd go to H & R Block or a someone like that, not the company with some dude in a Lady Liberty costume out front annoying people. But it did make me think of Deeks in that one episode where he stood out front of a repair shop spinning some sign and keeping an eye on Kensi.

I'm sure he gets minimum wage or only slightly higher.
