Back when I started getting really sick in 2005, before I was on disability, I worked at the hospital in my hometown. Since that hospital is so small, it is associated with a MUCH larger hospital system that is about an hour and a half from where I live now. It was an hour and fifteen minutes from my hometown. But anyway, our health insurance was through them and if we needed to see a specialist, we had to see one of their specialists. Which is how I ended up with all my specialists waaaaay down there. It has been such a pain in the ass driving that far to see my doctors, but it's almost as big a pain in the ass changing doctors, especially since I had three specialists.

BUT finally I got my butt in gear and changed all three of them at once. It took a while because I had to go in and sign release forms to get my records sent from down there to up here. Then I had to wait for three separate doctor's offices to actually send the records. Then I found out that two of them never received the release form, so I had to call Sandy, the woman who is coordinating this for me.

But, now I have appointments with three new specialists that are only a half hour away. I have two in December and one in February. YAY!
