Caught it in Time - I Hope

Saturday evening, I started feeling a tightness in my chest, but didn't thing too much about it. But it got worse on Sunday and yesterday. My throat felt scratchy and my voice sounded funny. When I woke up this morning, my chest felt really tight and it really hurt to cough. My throat felt worse and I sounded like I could sing bass. I've been taking the store brand of Mucinex (guaifenesin) and Tylenol. It helps a little bit, but not a whole lot.

Fortunately, I had an appointment with my family doctor this morning. She listened to my lungs and said they sounded tight. She put me on antibiotics to nip this in the bud. She also told me to take more of the guaifenesin for the chest congestion. I'm hoping this keeps whatever this is from getting any worse. I DO NOT want to end up in the hospital.

Kickn' Butts and Taking Names

I'm tired of having my bank balance at zero or below at the end of every month, so I called HEAP today (it's a program that helps low income people with their heating bill). They are sending me an application. I should get around $400 or more from them.

Then I called the drug company that makes Spiriva, one of my inhalers, which cost me $275 last week. They have a program that will let me get the inhaler for FREE! They are also sending me an application.

Now I'm going to take a nap since I feel like crap. I want to be up in time to watch NCIS and NCIS:LA.
