I really don't see that happening. I think these types of statements were used as scare tactics to sway voters. I may be wrong, though. But I think President Obama will do his very best to see that that does not happen. He wants to see the 1% pay their fair share of taxes and decrease the load on middle and low income Americans, while making sure they have access to quality heathcare.
Umm... not a scare tactic when we're given the paperwork for medical insurance renewal with a 'conditional upon reelection and continuation of Health Care' act statement which says our $350 dollar a month premium while double to $700. That's almost half our salary... we can't live on that.
And that's not even talking about the tax changes... barring a miracle of some kind preventing the fiscal cliff... well, some of us are really screwed over.
I just want to survive the next four years in house and home without worrying about my kidlet having a place to live or my hubby losing his job.
I'm so sorry you've been put in this position. I do hope that the politicians on both sides of the aisle can work together to avoid going over the fiscal cliff. Falling off that cliff would put us right back into a deep recession. I hope they can all be reasonable and put the people ahead of politics.
We got insurance renewal at work that is "more in line" with the Health Care act.
It includes my deductable that was previously $250 a year shooting up to $2000 a year. (Among other things including a lower amt of coverage for slightly more money a month.)
Let's hope nothing happens to me healthwise from here on out, because I don't have $2000 to pay on a deductable plus the increased % due after it's reached. It's hard enought to swing the $250 and the % due after.
I officially can't afford to get sick, hurt, or much of anything else.
Oh, excuse me a sec while I take off my rose-colored glasses. There! Yeah, I see now that you're completely correct. Those same Tea Baggers who basically lost the election for Romney will not go gently into that good night. They will go kicking and screaming and dragging anyone they can get hold of with them. F**kers.
Oh, no! What has Trump said? Do you have links? I am laughing so hard at him and have been through out this campaign. He's made a total ass of himself. The funniest thing was when Mark Cuban offered to donate $1 million to the charity of Trump's choice if he would shave his head. Bwahahaha!
Yeah, just looking at him makes me laugh. Then he has to open his mouth and I'm the same as you. :D
Well, he's going to have to suck it up and slink back under his rock since President Obama not only won 303 electoral votes, but he won the popular vote as well, so he can't claim that Obama actually lost. :'D

Of course, I'm a well trained pessimist. I might be wrong but I doubt it.
Hey... the world could end next month and it won't matter anyway.

Well...ones like Christie might, now that reality's taken a big juicy bite out of his ass (Y HALO THAR CLIMATE CHANGE).
But the Teabaggers? They're gonna completely come unhinged and lose their shit.
Be prepared. The fight isn't over by a long shot.

Perhaps the next Sandy that comes along will change his mind when it topples his high-rise penthouse...with him in it.
